Ride the Hunter Subaru WNC Flyer
The 14th annual Hunter Subaru WNC Flyer (formerly called the Fletcher Flyer) has the same start/finish location as last year: Oskar Blues Brewery in Brevard, NC. What better way to spend the day than with a Bike Ride, Bluegrass, BBQ, and a Brew (or Root Beer Float Shooters)!
Like last year, the offering includes the full, metric, half century, and half metric rides which wind through the valleys south of Asheville, NC. Although it is the least hilly ride in Western North Carolina, it has plenty of rolling hills to keep all riders interested. There is beautiful mountain scenery without the long mountain climbs.
The Flyer is a ride for everyone from first time riders to experience riders.
The 2017 Flyer offers four rolling routes through the beautiful hills of western North Carolina
Full Century - 100 miles, 4595' of climb
Metric Century - 63 miles, 2436' of climb
Half Century - 54 miles, 1792' of climb
Half Metric Century - 33 miles, 1250' of climb
Ride rain or shine! Helmets required
After ride BBQ meal and snacks included in ride fee
Bluegrass Band at the finish line
Beer available at the finish line (1st beer free, compliments of Oskar Blues)
